The former HGTV stars teased the first episode on social media. In the clips, fans were quickly both intrigued and horrified by the state of the couple’s first house flip.
“This first house was a mess, unlike anything we’d seen before. You can’t unsmell that…” Joanna shared with her Instagram.

While the before photos of the house are shocking, every Fixer Upper fan knows that Joanna and Chip never shy away from a challenge. While any other person would have declared the flip a lost cause, the Gaines’ renovation results were beautiful. On Instagram, Joanna shared a couple of before and after photos of the project. The styling of each room stays true to Joanna’s signature brand.
