A Brief Rundown Of Florida Georgia Line’s Split And Rumored Feud

Florida Georgia Line surprised country fans by reuniting onstage on Thursday, March 19. Beyond merely appearing together, the country duo delivered their first live performance in four years.

To give you a brief rundown, in February 2022, Florida Georgia Line announced they were going on hiatus. Members Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley delivered their last live performance together in August of that year.

Not long after, rumors of a feud and animosity between the two singers began to surface. Both pursued solo careers in the meantime.

During an interview on the Bussin’ with the Boys podcast in 2024, Hubbard said he didn’t expect it when Kelley came to him and said he was ready “to do a solo thing.”

Kelley appeared on the same podcast shortly after to share his side of the story. He claimed that his desire to pursue a solo career was not unexpected and that he and Hubbard had discussed it before. “So, it wasn’t a surprise,” Kelley said. “The marker was in place.”

No matter how Hubbard and Kelley felt about each other and their breakup, it seems that things are on the mend between them. The pair reunited at the CMA Awards in 2025 and happily posed for photos together, looking very much like friends again.

Hubbard and Kelley have since been seen together on several more occasions. They even went on vacation with each other and their wives earlier this year (2026).

But the ultimate reunion came on March 19. During a surprise party celebrating Jason Aldean‘s 31 chart-topping hits, Hubbard and Kelley appeared onstage to sing as Florida Georgia Line for the first time since they split in 2022.

“Man, it feels good to be here tonight,” Hubbard said. “It feels good to be here with my brother to celebrate our other brother.”
