Country Legend George Strait Is Putting On A Benefit Concert For Texas Flood Victims

On Friday (July 11), country legend George Strait announced he has put together a benefit concert and dinner to benefit the victims of the Texas Hill Country flood.

According to a press release, Strait partnered with businessman and Vaqueros del Mar partner of 15-years, Tom Cusick, to organize a “special benefit dinner and concert in Boerne, Texas, ‘Strait To The Heart,’ at Estancia at Thunder Valley indoor arena.”

In the release, Strait said, “The destruction and loss in our community from the recent flood is hard to wrap your head around. Our hearts and prayers are with you all. The goal with this event is to raise meaningful, immediate support that can be put directly into the hands of flood victims without delay, while also honoring the first responders that work tirelessly to save lives.”

How Can I Attend?

The benefit will take place on Sunday, July 27 at a setting that is extremely intimate, so only 1,000 guests can be accommodated. Tickets and tables start at a $1,000 price point.

The press release states, “Complimentary tickets will be provided to local area first-responders. Donations will be made to 501c3 Vaqueros del Mar Texas Flood Relief Fund and distributed directly to affected families as well as established Hill Country funds.”

Folks are encouraged to email Vaquerosdm@gmail.com if they are interested in purchasing tickets, or if you’d like to make a donation. See the flyer below for more info.
