Country artist Granger Smith shared a picture of his 4-week-old son, Maverick Beckham holding a special keepsake of his late older brother close to his heart. Maverick’s older brother River died at the age of 3 after a tragic drowning accident in 2019

Smith and his wife Amber welcomed Maverick to the family on Friday, August 20, 2021. According to Amber’s Instagram, the newborn arrived at 12:45 p.m. in Round Rock, Texas, and weighed 7 lbs., measuring 20 inches long.

On Thursday, September 16, 2021, Smith shared an emotional post on Instagram that featured Maverick clutching one of River’s most beloved toys.

The photo showed baby Maverick wrapped up in a cozy white blanket while holding a small Lightning McQueen toy car in one of his hands.

“Momma’s good looks, daddy’s hair and big brother’s favorite car,” Smith captioned the post.

The couple recently welcomed their newborn child home and introduced him to his older siblings, Lincoln and London. Amber posted some photos of her husband surrounded by the little ones with the caption “welcome home buddy.”
