Gunman Opens Fire Near Ohio Summer Festival
A manhunt is underway after at least 12 people were shot near a festival in Toledo, Ohio, on Saturday (June 6).
According to the Toledo Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire near the Old West End Festival at approximately 5:37 p.m. local time. Authorities said 10 victims were listed in stable condition, while two remained in critical condition.
Toledo Deputy Police Chief Joe Heffernan said investigators believe two individuals exchanged gunfire and were likely shooting at each other when the incident occurred.
The victims ranged in age from 16 to 61 years old. Earlier, Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz told local outlet WTOL 11 that all of the victims were expected to survive.

Details Surrounding The Shooting
Videos circulating on social media appeared to show festival attendees running from the area as multiple gunshots rang out.
Witness Tito Aguilar told CBS News he was ordering food when he noticed a group of juveniles confronting another young person. Aguilar said he began recording the altercation on his phone before hearing gunfire moments later.
After initially fleeing the scene, Aguilar returned to look for friends and reported seeing several people suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Viewer discretion is advised.
