Hail Storm Rolls Through Music City: “Parts Of Nashville Disappear”

Tornado season has barely begun in the South, and unfortunately, the region has already experienced its share of severe storms.
On Thursday, storm cells ripped across the South and caused deadly tornados to touchdown in parts of Alabama. While the storms weakened as they continued to make their way towards Nashville, the city experienced a massive hail storm.

Nashville residents reported hail sizes from quarter to golfball as the storm system made its way through the city. WSMV News 4, Nashville also shared a shocking video of the storm moving through the heart of the town. In the footage, the hail storm is so concentrated that pieces of the city disappear as waves of ice clusters pelt downtown.

While the storm rolled through relatively quickly, Nashville residents have still reported storm damage, including damage to homes, fallen trees, and flooding.
