Hannah Harper’s Brother Wows Fans With A Cover Of Vince Gill’s “When I Call Your Name”

Talent runs in Hannah Harper’s family.
If you followed Hannah Harper’s journey on American Idol, then you know she had a background in bluegrass and gospel music long before she was crowned the champion of Season 24.
She was part of a family band with her mother, father, and two brothers, Dillon and Dalton. They spent most of her childhood traveling around the country to perform at different shows.
Although Hannah has gone on to pursue more solo projects over the past year, her family hasn’t been far behind. Her brothers currently tour with her as part of her backup band.
Dillon plays bass and mandolin and also provides backup vocals, and Dalton plays acoustic guitar. You may even remember Dalton from Hannah’s Idol audition, when he played guitar as she sang her original song “String Cheese” for the judges for the first time.
But if you didn’t know, Dalton is just as much of a singer as his two siblings. Last week, he and Hannah were both included in the lineup at Dollywood’s Harvest Festival. During the fall celebration, he performed a rendition of one of Vince Gill’s most classic songs.

For his time in the spotlight, Dalton sang Gill’s “When I Call Your Name.”
Co-written by Gill, the song was released in 1990 and reached No. 2 on the Hot Country Songs chart. It eventually earned him a Grammy for Best Male Country Vocal Performance.
Dalton took the stage in a blue button-up shirt, denim pants, and a cream colored cowboy hat. He strummed the guitar as he sang with a band softly playing behind him.

Dalton will be tagging along with his sister as her String Cheese Tour continues through October and November. The two also sometimes share videos on their own social media accounts, singing along to some of their favorite songs together.
