One of the craziest stories that just hit the internet in the past 24 hours is about a chihuahua that was playing in the backyard garden when a seagull flew down and snatched him up.

Apparently, the dog owner, 24-year-old Becca Hill put up posters all over the neighborhood letting the community know her dog, Gizmo, was stolen by a seagull and is asking for people to check their roofs and gardens for him.

“My partner was in the garden putting the washing out at the time and suddenly he saw it swoop down. It carried Gizmo a fair way as we couldn’t see him anymore,” Becca said. “I have no idea if he was dropped or where he is now.”

Expert Says “Not Typical Gull Behavior”

It’s such a sad story and has caused panic for many small dog owners who have heard the story. A spokesperson for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds said that this was not “typical gull behavior” so others shouldn’t panic.

However, for Becca, she is not giving up and is continually searching for him. “My baby is still missing. Doesn’t feel right not waking up to him licking my face,” she reportedly wrote on Facebook.
