“Home Improvement” Actor Zachery Ty Bryan Arrested

In 1991, Home Improvement premiered and made a star out of Tim Allen. It also introduced us to the three actors who played his sons – Zachery Ty Bryan, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, and Taran Smith.

39-year-old Zachery Ty Bryan, who played Allen’s eldest son Brad, made headlines this weekend after being arrested in Eugene, Oregon.
Police arrived at Bryan’s residence on Friday night (Oct. 16) after receiving a call from a neighbor about a “physical dispute.” When police showed up, Bryan was sitting outside while his 27-year-old girlfriend was inside her apartment.
Oregon Live reports that he was booked at Lane County Jail for “strangulation, assault in the fourth degree and interfering with making a report.”

Bryan was married to high school sweetheart Carly Matros in 2007. They have four children together, twin daughters born in 2014, a daughter born in 2016, and a son born in 2019.

The altercation with his new girlfriend comes a little over two weeks after the announcement of his split from his wife.
Bryan has not released a statement since his arrest. Entertainment Tonight reports that he has since been released from custody.
