Hulk Hogan’s Family Shares Tributes Following His Death
Brooke Hogan has spoken out for the first time since her father’s passing.
On Thursday, July 24, WWE legend Hulk Hogan passed away at the age of 71 after emergency responders were called to his home in Clearwater, Florida, following reports of cardiac arrest.
The wrestling icon was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:17 a.m., according to Clearwater Police Major Nate Burnside.
Not long after, statements from Hulk’s family began to pour in.
His wife, Sky Daily, shared a message on Instagram, expressing her heartbreak over his unexpected death.
Hulk’s son, Nick Hogan, also shared a tribute. In it, he posted a series of photos of himself and his father together over the years.
“I would do anything to have him back but I know now that he will always be watching over me,” part of Nicks tribute read. “I will always remember the lessons and advice he gave me and carry on in a way that I know would make him proud.”
Hulk Hogan’s Estranged Daughter, Brooke, Breaks Her Silence
A few days after Hulk Hogan’s passing, his daughter Brooke broke her silence with an emotional and honest message shared on her social media.
Brooke had been estranged from her family, including her father, for several years at the time of his death.
However, in her post, the 37-year-old took the time to touch on some of the rumors that had been circulating.
She clarified that she and her father had always shared a strong bond, regardless of what people may have assumed. The beginning of Brooke’s statement read:
“My dad’s blood runs through my veins. His eyes shine through my children. And our bond has never broken, not even in his final moments. We had a connection deeper than words, one that spanned lifetimes. I am so grateful that I knew the real version of him. Not just the one the world viewed through a carefully curated lens. We shared a quiet, sacred bond, one that could be seen and felt by anyone who witnessed us together.”
She went on to say that she felt it was “necessary to clear a few things up” about what happened between her and her father before they became estranged.
Brooke explained that it wasn’t a “big fight” that led to their separation.
“It was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know, or understand,” she said. “My father was confiding in me about issues weighing on his heart, both personal and business. I offered to be a life raft in whatever capacity he needed. I told him he had my support. I begged him to rest, to take care of himself.”
Years ago, Brooke and her husband, former NHL player Steven Olesky, moved back to Florida to be closer to Hulk. But, Brooke shared that this was when their relationship started to change.
She explained that as Hulk began dealing with more health issues, he slowly went from being “so vulnerable” with her to not wanting her involved at all.
“We had been through almost 25 surgeries together, and then all of a sudden he didn’t want me at surgeries…everything started getting covered in a thick veil. It was like there was a force field around him that I couldn’t get through.”
Brooke said this eventually led to her and her father having “respectful disagreements.” Over time, it began to take an “emotional toll” on her.
“During the last two years, I had to step away to protect my heart,” she said.
During the time she stepped away from her family, Brooke got married and welcomed twins in January 2025.
She also shared that although she wasn’t in contact, her husband continued speaking with Hulk, “trying to find a safe way back in” for her.
“All I ever wanted from my father was love, honesty and a deep connection,” she added. “And for a few special years, I had that — with memories that will last a lifetime. My world is forever changed. But I’m deeply blessed with a loving husband and two beautiful children who remind me every day of life’s greatest gifts.”
