Hulk Hogan Passes Away At The Age Of 71
On Thursday, July 24, news broke that WWE legend and wrestling icon Hulk Hogan had passed away at the age of 71.
According to reports first shared by TMZ, medics were called to Hogan’s home in Clearwater, Florida, in response to a reported cardiac arrest.
He was taken from his home on a stretcher and transported by ambulance, where he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

A few hours after his passing, Hogan’s family broke their silence in a statement on his official social media accounts.
“It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we confirm we have lost a legend,” the statement read. “Our beloved Terry Bollea, known worldwide as Hulk Hogan, passed away today surrounded by his loved ones. At this time of grief, we ask that everyone please respect the privacy of his family and friends. May we all take solace in the wonderful memories he left behind for the millions of fans worldwide whose lives he touched for more than four decades. He will be missed, but never forgotten.”
Hulk Hogan was very open about the toll wrestling had taken on his body. He revealed he had undergone more than 25 surgeries, including 10 on his back.
In May of this year, he had a neck surgery that was reported to be successful. In June, US Weekly reported that a source close to Hogan claimed he had recently undergone a serious heart surgery. However, this has not been confirmed by Hogan’s family or representatives.
Hulk’s Son Shared A Tribute To His Father Just Days Before His Passing
Just a little under two weeks before Hulk Hogan’s death, his son Nick, 34, shared a post to his social media for Father’s Day.
The Father’s Day post included a throwback photo of Hulk and a young Nick.
In the picture, Hulk is wearing his iconic yellow and red wrestling gear. Nick is standing in front of him in a matching outfit, flexing his muscles just like his dad.
“Had a great Father’s Day with the goat! Happy Father’s Day to all the awesome dads!” Nick wrote in the photo’s caption.
