Is In-N-Out Coming To Your State?

In-N-Out Burger is eyeing a possible expansion into three additional states, bringing its beloved menu to more of the United States.

In-N-Out has built its reputation on fresh ingredients and affordable prices. Founded in California in the 1940s, the burger chain promises its customers a commitment to consistency and “quality you can taste.”

One of the biggest things that sets In-N-Out apart is its approach to food preparation. Unlike many fast-food restaurants, they do not use frozen beef patties. Back in 2025, the California-based chain also announced it would be removing artificial ingredients from some of their popular menu items.

They also have a rather simple menu. In-N-Out focuses on a handful of favorites, including its classic Hamburger, Cheeseburger, and Double-Double.

The company first expanded beyond California in November 1992, opening its first out-of-state restaurant in Las Vegas, Nevada.

At the time, In-N-Out had been serving customers in California for 44 years after its original restaurant opened in Baldwin Park in 1948. From there, they slowly began expanding into additional states, including Arizona in 2000, Utah in 2008, Texas in 2011, Oregon in 2015, and Colorado in 2020.

In-N-Out is now also in Idaho, Washington and Tennessee.

In-N-Out Looks To Expand To More States

In-N-Out owner and president Lynsi Snyder recently teased the possibility of expanding into three additional southern states.

During an interview with actor Terry Crews, Lynsi said the popular food chain is looking to also open stores in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Mississippi.

“There’s some other states … that could be on the way,” she said in the interview. “If you look on the map, you’ve got Texas, there’s Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma. There’s some states there that are possibilities.”

The granddaughter of founders Harry and Esther Snyder, Lynsi took over as president in 2010 at just 27 years old. She had previously worked in several areas of the company, beginning as an associate in 1999.

Despite the company’s continued expansion across the country, Lynsi has made it clear that maintaining quality will always take priority over opening more locations.

“Some people might look and say, ‘Oh they’re popping up in a new state,’ or ‘They’re just growing like crazy’ but we’re not,” Lynsi continued. “I feel like there’s a special peace knowing that In-N-Out isn’t everywhere.”
