In one of his last interviews, conservative activist Charlie Kirk shared the most important thing in his life and how he wants to be remembered.

Charlie Kirk was arguably one of the current generation’s most respected and influential conservative voices. In 2012, at the age of 18, Kirk chose to forego college and pursue full-time political activism.

One month after he graduated from high school, Kirk teamed up with Bill Montgomery to form Turning Point USA. The non-profit youth organization focused on “identifying, educating, training, and organizing students to promote freedom” and reached thousands of college students across the country.

Charlie Kirk hosted a self-titled radio show and made frequent appearances on talk shows and podcasts, but he became the face of young conservatism with his campus tours. During these tours, Kirk would host a “prove me wrong” table where audience members were encouraged to debate Charlie.

It was during his “prove me wrong” segment at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025, that Charlie Kirk was killed in what government leaders are calling a “political assassination.” He was 31.

Just two months before he was killed, Charlie Kirk talked about how he would want to be remembered if he were to die.

In late June, Charlie Kirk was a guest on The Iced Coffee Hour podcast. He was asked, “If everything completely goes away, how do you want to be remembered?”

“If I die?” Kirk replied, appearing to be shocked at the question.

“Everything just goes away, how would you … If you could be associated with one thing, how would you want to be remembered?” the host repeated.

Charlie Kirk’s response was a clear and concise summary of his life and the purpose behind his activism.

“I want to be remembered for courage for my faith,” Kirk said. “That would be the most important. The most important thing is my faith in my life.”
