Taking the stage for the very first song of her set at this huge Japanese music festival, this new generation country star had everyone clapping along in furious excitement with just a few notes of her song!
Appearing at the 2018 Fuji Rock Festival in a quaint skiing village located in Niigata Prefecture, the young and beautiful country songstress known for her memorable lyrics and stunning voice – took Japan by storm with this once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Kacey Musgraves, who just released her third studio album, Golden Hour, in March 2018 took the stage for her very first song and was joined by some iconic figures of Japanese culture.
Decked out in their semi-tropical gear, Musgraves and her band welcomed a series of four Geishas to the stage in a debut that blew the entire crowd away.
Several top members of COOL JAPAN TV helped organize the dancers who moved hypnotically alongside Musgraves as she sang her song that calls out someone’s too-huge ego, “High Horse.”
Together with these impressive Geisha dancers and her own dazzling dress, Musgraves stole the hearts of Japan and had everyone waving along to the beat of her song – a feat not many can lay claim to.
Beaming with a smile and clapping with the crowd, this moment had a great impact on Musgraves and her team – so much so that she thanked each and every one who joined her on stage with a heartfelt post on social media.
“Japan came through,” she wrote enthusiastically. “Huge thank you to Shen Lim, Takafuji Ukon, and the other dancers for graciously making our debut set extra special!”
While the crowd was thrilled with the first song – they loved her so much that they braved a surprise typhoon to keep on “grooving” with Musgraves.
