Jason Aldean Makes Special Appearance At Texas Benefit Concert
Country superstars Miranda Lambert and Parker McCollum came together to host an incredible benefit concert supporting those devasted by the floods in central Texas last month (July).
They gathered an all-star lineup to appear at “Band Together Texas,” including singers such as Cody Johnson and Ronnie Dunn. Actors Matthew McConaughey and Dennis Quaid also made an appearance at the concert.
Perhaps one of the most exciting surprises of the night, however, was a special performance by Jason Aldean.
Aldean held a concert in Austin the night before (August 16), but extended his stay to surprise the crowd and show support for the cause.
“Thank you guys so much. Yeah, I had to stay an extra day here in Austin, I can’t think of a better cause to be here for than this,” Aldean shared. “Huge thank you to Miranda Lambert and Parker McCollum for doing this tonight.”
The “Big Green Tractor” singer also generously donated his entire stage and production crew for the night.

Jason Aldean Honors Texas With Miranda Lambert
Aldean first performed his iconic hit, “She’s Country” for the crowd, followed by a duet with Lambert for his Texas-inspired hit, “Amarillo Sky.”
Although Aldean hails from Georgia, Lambert told him he was an “honorary” Texan for the night.

The two have a history of performing together and have remained dear friends. In 2018, Aldean released his song “Drowns the Whiskey,” which features vocals from Lambert.
The duo also performed the hit at the 2018 CMA Awards.
“Band Together Texas” Raises $8.5 Million
The benefit concert was a tremendous success, raising $8.5 million for flood recovery efforts.
Lambert posted on her social media following the event, thanking those who did what they could to make the night so special.
“Thank you to everyone who donated time, talent, money, love and energy into making this night one of healing and fellowship. And thank you to everyone who came to the show or tuned in. God Bless Texas 🩵”
