Jelly Reflects On His First Opry Performance
Jelly made his Grand Ole Opry debut on November 9, 2021. During his visit with Joe Rogan, Jelly reflected deeply on that day.
His first moments at the Opry was especially meaningful because, during his debut, the singer had shared an emotional story about how profoundly the song “Almost Home” influenced his life.
Jelly recalled a defining moment following his legal troubles, when he saw Craig Morgan perform the song at the Opry. That experience, he said, inspired him to turn his life around and follow his dreams as a musician.
“Shortly after I got out of jail, I did, I sat right there in row seven and I cried like a baby and watched him sing,” Jelly Roll said. “I remember thinking, I wanna make people feel the way he makes me feel right now.”
Not long after, Craig Morgan welcomed him back to the stage for a special performance of Craig’s classic hit.

As the two were watching his first performance, Jelly could be seen crying, wiping constant tears and reflecting on his journey and just how far he has come.
As the crowd at the Opry cheers Jelly on, applauding his success and congratulating him, Jelly gets even more emotional, standing up to give Joe a hug.
