Joanna Gaines Shares First Selfie With “Snug As A Cuddlebug” Baby Crew

There’s nothing usual about the newest member of Chip and Joanna Gaines’ family.

Joanna, 40, shared a selfie of her “surprise” fifth addition to the family who apparently couldn’t wait to meet his family. The newborn arrived two and a half weeks earlier than expected.

Dad, Chip Gaines, first announced the arrival of their son via Instagram, “And then there were 5,” he wrote. “The Gaines crew is now 1 stronger! 10 beautiful toes and 10 beautiful fingers all accounted for, and big momma is doing great!” 

Few realized father Chip was revealing the name of the clan’s fifth child, Crew.

Innocent Anticipation

Just as adorable is the pic of Crew’s anxious siblings hovering outside the birthing room door awaiting the first sounds and sight of their newest brother.

Crew’s name is a bit of a departure from tradition of “D” names for their boys. Their other sons are named Duke and Drake.

Why the name Crew?

Crew is just another name of a group of friends. That accurately reflects the gaggle of Gaines and their love for one another.

Cuddle Bug Selfie
