Julianne Hough & Husband Brooks Laich Announce Split

In a joint statement to PEOPLE the couple has confirmed that they are splitting up after nearly 3 years of marriage.
“We have lovingly and carefully taken the time we have needed to arrive at our decision to separate. We share an abundance of love and respect for one another and will continue to lead with our hearts from that place. We kindly request your compassion and respect for our privacy moving forward.”
The couple has been social distancing apart with Julianne in her home in Los Angeles and Brooks in his Idaho home.
According to a source, Julianne and Brooks were “happy and fine” with being apart while social distancing and it made them realize they should probably go their separate ways.
It has been almost two months since they have seen each other, and they have both come to the conclusion that their priorities are not in line with making the marriage work.
The couple didn’t come to this conclusion without thinking about it long and hard. They decided to try living and spending time apart, as well as spending more time together to see what felt right. However, they realized their romantic relationship is over. They both love each other and probably always will, but they have decided that it is time to move on and go their separate ways.
