on Sep 26, 2021
Kane Brown’s Saturday concert (September 25) in Tupelo, Mississippi, was abruptly canceled as the singer and his opening acts waited to take the stage.
The news was announced on Twitter shortly before the concert was set to kick off at the Bancorp South Arena who wrote that they were forced to cancel the show due to “unforeseen maintenance issues.”
Due to unforeseen maintenance issues, we are unable to hold the Kane Brown concert tonight. We are so sorry for the inconvenience. Please hold on to your tickets, and we will be in touch soon.

Brown took to Instagram to apologize to his fans who had been waiting for over a year to attend this concert. In the now-deleted post, Brown wrote, “Tupelo Mississippi I’m sorry guys were all here waiting to do the show and then got hit with this,” Brown captioned his post on social media. “I’m so sorry, I know y’all have had y’alls tickets for forever and when we get to play this happens.”
While Brown and the venue have yet to share details on the situation, Brown’s opening act, Russell Dickerson, shared his disappointment about the cancelation in a post on Instagram. Dickerson was also scheduled to tour with Florida Georgia Line this fall for their I Love My Country Tour, but the duo canceled the dates due to the resurgence of COVID-19 cases across the country.
Dickerson addressed the cancelation of Saturday’s concert with Kane Brown and the fall tour cancelation in a post that read:
“Even though it didn’t look how you were expecting it to look, God makes it beautiful and it looks exactly how He wanted it to look…
Cancelled show last night and a cancelled tour this fall all kind of hit at once when we got home and had to pull everything thing off of our tour bus that we had just spent months making our home for the foreseeable future…
And as I’m walking up the driveway I see this… I remember how big God is and how good God is. He makes all things work together for the good of those who love Him.”
