Turning Point USA Hosts The “All-American Halftime Show”

In October 2025, Turning Point USA announced that it would be hosting an alternative Super Bowl halftime performance, called the “All-American Halftime Show.” The show was promoted as being an event for “celebrating faith, family, and freedom.”

The news came just after the NFL announced that Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny would be the Super Bowl halftime show performer.

A few months later, the organization announced that Kid RockLee BriceGabby Barrett, and Brantley Gilbert would all be performing during the highly anticipated show.

Nearly 5 million simultaneous viewers tuned in to watch the show on YouTube alone. Hundreds of thousands more tuned in on other streaming platforms. Needless to say, the event was such a massive success for Turning Point, the organization has already announced plans for a 2027 event.

Kid Rock Stands Up For His Conservative Beliefs

An outspoken Trump supporter, Kid Rock was one of the many celebrities to speak out against conservative influencer and TPUSA CEO Charlie Kirk’s death.

The singer called the mainstream media “fricking public enemy number one right now.” He also accused the media of ignoring positive, bi-partisan news and focusing on divisive topics.

“I’m not saying there aren’t crazy right-wingers that do some of this stuff. There’s a little bit of guilty on both sides. But these people, they’re supposed to be this inclusive this, that, or the other, and they’re the ones who don’t want to talk and get along with anyone,” Kid Rock said during an interview with Fox News’ Jesse Watters.

Kid Rock Slams Conan O’Brien’s Oscars Joke

On Sunday (March 15), Oscars host Conan O’Brien made a joke in his opening monologue referencing Kid Rock and the conservative event. O’Brien joked there was an “alternate Oscars being hosted by Kid Rock” at a Dave & Buster’s nearby, poking fun at the show.

Kid Rock responded on social media, saying he can enjoy a joke “even when I’m the butt of it,” but didn’t think this one was particularly funny. Rather than poke back, he pivoted to promoting his upcoming “Freedom 250” tour.

The tour will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States with a 10-show tour running from May 1 to June 20. Kid Rock’s event is part of a larger national celebration led by Freedom 250, the official non-partisan initiative commemorating America’s 250th birthday on July 4, 2026.

Freedom 250 will work alongside the White House Task Force 250 to coordinate a nationwide year of festivities which began on Memorial Day 2025. The initiative aims to honor U.S. history, innovation, and the enduring ideals of freedom, according to its website.
