Koe Wetzel cares about his fans’ safety, and he proved it when he spotted a young boy standing dangerously close to a fight that broke out during a recent show.

Over the weekend, Koe Wetzel performed in Washington, D.C., as part of his The Night Champion World Tour. However, at one point, things started to get out of hand between a few audience members.

Wetzel was able to see what was happening from the stage, but his focus wasn’t on the people who started the chaos. Instead, he noticed a little boy standing dangerously close to the fight.

After spotting him, Wetzel alerted the venue’s security team and asked them to get the boy out of the crowd. Not only did he help him get away from a situation where he could’ve been seriously hurt, but he also had security bring him on stage so he could have a once-in-a-lifetime experience up close with the singer.

The boy, who later introduced himself as Eli, was brought to the side of the stage where Wetzel’s crew was standing. Once he got up there, the band’s guitar players immediately welcomed him and made him feel included by letting Eli strum the electric guitar for a bit.

Eli then walked over to Wetzel and helped sing his song “Forever.”

Fans praised Wetzel for taking action after noticing Eli wasn’t safe in the crowd. Many of them left comments, such as:

“I knew I loved him for a reason 😭”

“that was totally awesome Koe”

“This is why I f*** with Koe. He’s a good guy at heart.”

“he just gets better every damn day”

There were also plenty of people questioning why such a young child was in the pit to begin with. Especially at a country-rock concert where things can sometimes get pretty wild.

“Why was a kid there??” a fan questioned.

“I love Koe, love the pit, but in no way would I ever take my child into it. he can get a seat bc too much can go wrong!,” said another.

“Bad*** but who brings a kid that size to the pit at a Koe Wetzel concert?” someone else asked.
