On Thursday (August 4) country band Lady A revealed that their entire Request Line Tour has been postponed until next year. They also revealed the reason as to why.

“We are a band, but more importantly…we’re family,” they wrote in an Instagram post. “We’re proud to say that Charles has embarked on a journey to sobriety. So, right now in order to be the healthiest, strongest and most creative band we can be, Lady A will take the time with the support of our families and team of professionals to walk through this together.”

The band continued, “It’s early on this road, but we are determined to do what will best set us up for many more years together. We’re grateful for your patience.⁣⁣”

Their Request Line Tour had the band scheduled for shows all the way until October 20th. In the coming days, fans will be receiving a refund from their point of purchase.

For a couple weeks before this announcement, the band quietly cancelled several shows. By August 1st, they had cancelled at least five performances including:

Choctaw Indian Fair in Pearl River, Mississippi, July 16.
Porter County Fair, Valparaiso, Indiana, July 22.
Great Jones County Fair in Monticello, Iowa, July 23.
Atlantic Union After Hours at The Meadow Event Park, Doswell, Virginia, July 29.
Lancaster Festival, Lancaster, Ohio, July 30.

The band didn’t release a statement, but each venue did.

A little over a week after the news of Kelley’s “journey to sobriety,” Charles himself took to Instagram to thank fans for their support during this time.

I want to thank everyone who has shown me so much support and encouragement so far on my journey of sobriety,” he wrote alongside a photo of him with his wife and son. “Y’alls kind words have meant the world to me and really lifted me up over the past few weeks. I can’t wait to get back on the road with Lady A next year. Getting on that stage and being able to see, hear and feel everything through a clearer lens is going to be a gift that I won’t take for granted. “

He ended his note to his fans with, “I’m grateful for this time to focus on my family and my health.⁣”

We wish Charles nothing but the best during this time! See his full post below.
