One famous inventor and tinkerer has gone way beyond just hoping Tesla will make a pickup. She actually cut her own Tesla up and put it back together as a pickup in what is probably the very first real-world Tesla Truck to ever exist.

Simone Giertz is a Swedish vlogger known for her YouTube channel and somewhat elaborate and wacky inventions and has gained a massive following on the platform. In her newest video, which has already been trending on YouTube for several days – she and other high-profile makers from the platform got together to create the world’s first Tesla Truck.

Giertz started with Tesla’s bottom-tier vehicle, the Model 3, and essentially removed the back half of the roof, rear seats, and embedded a truck bed into it before installing a rear window and panels to finish out the look.

As she and her maker friends start to dismantle the car, they get super excited about the direction the project is going and throughout the video, you can hear their giddy commentary about how it’s all turning out.

In the end, though, they really created the very first Tesla Truck – all by hand! And they even made a commercial with it to show off their new ride!

Check out their crazy project below – and let us know what y’all think of it!
