On Thursday, May 9, Wilson officially announced her fifth studio album, “Whirlwind,” via Instagram, unveiling the album’s cover artwork. This exciting news follows her impressive win at the Grammy Awards just three months earlier, where she snagged her first-ever Grammy for Best Country Album with her 2022 album “Bell Bottom Country.” With “Whirlwind” set to release on August 23, Wilson is gearing up to share the journey of her recent highs and lows through her music.
In her announcement, Wilson reflects on the rollercoaster journey she’s been on, expressing her hope that the album will offer peace to listeners navigating their own whirlwinds.

“Whirlwind. That’s what my life has been the last couple years. I hope this record brings peace to your ‘whirlwind’ and wraps its arms around you like it did me when I was writing and recording it,” she wrote in the caption.
Partnering with TC Restaurant Group, known for owning several celebrity bars, including those belonging to Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson is set to launch “Bell Bottoms Up,” a three-story restaurant and bar. Situated at 120 3rd Ave. South, the establishment will fill the home to the now-closed FGL House, which was co-owned by the former band Florida Georgia Line.
According to Billboard, the large bar, covering 27,000 square feet, will offer a variety of entertainment and dining choices. It will have two stages, four bars, a mezzanine level, and a bar lounge with views of the main stage. Guests can also enjoy the rooftop, which has a 1970s western-themed vibe, featuring a dance floor, disco decorations, and an array of food and drinks that honor Wilson’s Louisiana roots.
