Lainey Wilson Visits College GameDay

Lainey Wilson made it back home to Louisiana for Week 1 of College GameDay as the show’s celebrity guest picker.

Lainey kicked things off with a live performance of Big & Rich’s “Comin’ to Your City” before later taking the stage again to perform her single, “Can’t Sit Still.” The country star also joined the College GameDay crew at Louisiana State University as they discussed this week’s games.

The “4X4XU” singer grew up in Louisiana before moving to Nashville after high school to pursue her country music career. She is married to former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges, who also hails from Louisiana.

Lainey joined Pat McAfee on The Pat McAfee Show earlier this week to talk about her upcoming appearance and the excitement she felt going back home.

“First of all, I’m just fired up to go back home. That I cannot tell you the amount of fun that I have had at LSU football games,” Lainey said. “So we are planning on just letting it all hang out because that’s what Louisiana folks like to do. So I’m just fired up. I mean, it’s a good time of year.”

Lainey Wilson Appears As Celebrity Guest Picker

As the weekly guest picker, Lainey joined the show’s regular panel to make her picks for some of the weekend’s biggest college football games. The special guest role gives celebrities and notable figures a chance to predict which teams will come out on top.

Lainey also announced during the show that she would be hosting this year’s CMA Awards for the third year in a row!

Taking the College GameDay stage in LSU purple and yellow, complete with tiger-stripe accents, Lainey delivered a unique rendition of “Comin’ to Your City” in the middle of the crowd. She then performed her new single, “Can’t Sit Still.”
