Lainey Wilson Teaches Her Husband How To Sing
Lainey Wilson is showing her husband, Devlin “Duck” Hodges, the ropes when it comes to singing.
The two have been together since 2021, though the couple kept their relationship largely private before eventually confirming their romance. Since retiring from the NFL in 2022, Hodges has transitioned into a successful career in real estate.
It wasn’t until 2023 that they made their public debut by walking the red carpet together at the ACM Awards. In February 2025, they announced that they were engaged with a sweet set of photos from the special moment.
The most important part of making it work, according to the “Somewhere Over Laredo” singer, is simply setting aside quality time for one another.
“You have to definitely carve out the time,” Wilson has said in the past. “It has to be something that you’re very aware of, and you’re like, ‘Okay, I’ve got a day off here in 10 days. I’ve got to dedicate that day to spend time with my person.”
Wilson and Hodges officially tied the knot on May 10, 2026 with a beautiful ceremony and reception at Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee.

On Friday (September 18), the country singer posted a hilarious video attempting to teach Hodges how to sing.
Wilson begins by singing her new song, “Phone, Wallet, Keys,” and encourages Hodges to sing along as she plays guitar. When she reaches his part and tells him it’s his turn, he laughs and admits that he can’t do it.
Instead, he says he will “whistle” along to the beat.
Fans flooded the comment section with playful reactions, joking that Hodges might want to leave the singing to Wilson.
