For anyone in the country music industry, singing at the Grand Ole Opry is one of the greatest achievements you can reach. More than 30 artists came together to perform during the night, including country veterans like Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, Clint Black, and more.

Along with longtime Opry members, one of its newest members also gave a stellar performance. Lainey Wilson made an appearance during the night to perform her debut hit “Things A Man Oughta Know” with the help of country legend Marty Stuart.

Not only that, but the two also gave a nod to Hank Williams with a duet of “Lost Highway.”

“It is so crazy that you are asking me to be a member because I look up to you so much,” she said. “I’m not talking about just musically, but the way you carry yourself, your work ethic. You inspire me every day.”

“They took me to Nashville when I was nine years old and we went to the Grand Ole Opry,” she went on to say. “We saw Bill Anderson and Crystal Gayle and Little Jimmy Dickens, and I knew that I wanted to play there – I wanted to do it.”

Wilson was officially inducted into the Grand Ole Opry on Friday, June 7, 2024.

Undoubtedly, it’s an honor to be able to perform alongside Marty Stuart, who has been a member of the Opry for over 30 years.
