It’s Been Confirmed, Lainey Wilson Will Host The 2025 CMA Awards
Breaking news…Lainey Wilson is the host of the 2025 CMA Awards!
The CMA confirmed on Tuesday (September 30) that Wilson will return to host the 2025 awards ceremony on November 19. She previously co-hosted the 2024 CMA Awards with Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning.
Bryan and Manning have co-hosted the CMA Awards since 2022, and Bryan hosted the event on his own in 2021.
This year, Wilson will be running the show solo and won’t have a co-host. She’s only the third female act in CMA history to ever serve as the ceremony’s sole host, following in the footsteps of Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire.
The CMA shared a short video and press release to announce Wilson’s return as host, writing, “The bell-bottom queen is ready, are y’all?”

Speaking about hosting this year’s ceremony, Wilson said:
“I grew up watching the CMA Awards like it was the Super Bowl, so to be hosting for a second year is a true honor. I’m humbled that CMA has trusted me with this role, and I can’t wait to love on this genre that has given me so much.”
Lainey Wilson Stands The Chance To Make History In More Ways Than One At This Year’s CMA Awards
Just by being the host of this year’s CMA Awards, Lainey Wilson is already making history. But beyond that, she has serious potential to experience a career-defining night on November 19.
Wilson tied with Ella Langley and Megan Moroney for the most nominations this year, as they each earned six. Most notably, she earned a nod for Entertainer of the Year, which she won in 2023.
If she wins Entertainer of the Year again this year, she’ll become the third female artist to win the award twice. The other stars who already accomplished this feat are Barbara Mandrell and Taylor Swift.

Additionally, Wilson could be the third artist to win Female Vocalist of the Year for four consecutive years. Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert previously pulled off the feat.
To top it off, if Wilson wins all six awards she’s nominated for, her total career wins will go up to 15. That will make her the most-awarded female singer in CMA history, surpassing the record of 14 wins held by Miranda Lambert.
Also, if that happens, Wilson would place sixth in the overall ranking of highest winners, right behind Alan Jackson, who has 16 wins.
Congratulations to Wilson on her nominations and being named the host of this year’s CMA Awards!
