Larry The Cable Guy Breaks Silence On His Sudden Hospitalization

Comedian Larry the Cable Guy recently shared that he had been hospitalized.
Larry, whose real name Daniel Lawrence Whitney, is 63, posted a health update on Sunday, July 26, noting he was recovering after two days in the hospital.
Sharing a bit about what he had experienced in that post, the comedian, famous for his tagline of “git-r-done,” proved to have maintained his sense of humor despite the discomfort.

“Getting a lot of messages so just to let ya know I’m all good,” wrote Larry the Cable Guy at the start of a statement posted to his social media accounts on July 26.
Revealing his diagnosis, he wrote, “I had major stomach pain and turns out I had appendicitis. It was removed and after 2 days in the hospital I’m home and recovering.”
Continuing, he humorously wrote:
“Pretty sore but vitals good, my butt looks fantastic and now just taking stool softeners which is giving me an urge to go to my mom’s assisted living facility and play bingo with the gals.”
Wrapping up his post, Larry said he wasn’t sure about “who ratted” him out, but offered, “I appreciate all the nice notes.”

While Larry wrote that the new animated series Cars: Lightning Racers — which is a spinoff of the Pixar film series, Cars — would be coming to Disney Jr. in September, the show appears to be coming out in 2027.
