LeAnn Rimes Reschedules Shows Due To Vocal Chord Bleed
on Dec 07, 2022
LeAnn Rimes has postponed her entire Joy: The Holiday Tour, for the second time.
The tour, which was scheduled to kick off on Friday, December 2nd was postponed last week after she came down with an illness.
“To my Verona, NY fans, I’m sorry to announce that we’ll have to cancel the show this Friday (Dec. 2) because I’m too sick to travel and perform. It breaks my heart I can’t be there as I was so excited to celebrate the holiday season with you all. We will reschedule and I look forward to that time when we can be together again,” her official statement read.
After this postponement, the first show of her tour would be Friday, December 9th in Riverside, Iowa. But now, it seems she has to push back the kick off
“It completely and utterly breaks my heart to have to announce that I will be rescheduling this weekend’s shows,” she wrote. “While sick with the flu, my doctor discovered a bleed on my vocal chord [sic], caused by the violent cough that came along with being sick. am getting better, but I am unable to talk or sing… doctor’s orders!”
Rimes continued, “I am devastated to have to do this as there was nothing more that I was looking forward to than celebrating the holidays with you. I will see you very soon.”
The December 9th show at Riverside Casino will now be on September 29, 2023, while her December 10th show at The Ryman will now take place on April 8, 2023.
The last few dates of her holiday tour are as follows:
Friday, December 16 — Lincoln City, OR – Chinook Winds Casino Showroom
Saturday, December 17 — Lincoln City, OR – Chinook Winds Casino Showroom
Sunday, December 18 — Airway Heights, WA – Northern Quest Resort and Casino
We hope she feels well enough to perform those dates! See her full hand-written statement below.
