On Thursday (Feb 7), LeAnn Rimes rescheduled three performances because of a heartbreaking, and sudden, loss. She made the announcement on Twitter, just six hours before she was supposed to take the stage in Newton, New Jersey.

A few hours after postponing the shows, Rimes tweeted, “I am am honestly overwhelmed at the outpouring of kindness and love sent our way. Our hearts are so broken right now.”

On Friday (Feb 8), Rimes revealed that the beloved family member she lost was her dog, Eveie.

“This is one of the most difficult, heartbroken moments our whole family has ever experienced,” she captioned a series of photos on Instagram.

She revealed that ” Eveie was attacked in front of us yesterday by a coyote.” Rimes, her husband Eddie Cibrian, and her stepsons are all incredibly saddened by the loss of Eveie.

Eddie, the boys and myself are left with such a hole in our family and in our hearts. She was our daughter, our boy’s best friend. We’ve taken turns crying and consoling for a day and a half now and it’s far from over,” she said.

After making her post about Eveie, her fans and friends rallied around her, sending her messages of love, with some friends even sending her beautiful bouquets of flowers to try and lift her family’s spirits. She was so moved by everyones messages, she posted a video to her Instagram Story.

“Hey you guys, I just want to say thank you for all your kindness. If any good thing has come out of this situation, it’s that we really know how much we’re loved, and we’re so grateful, so thank you very much,” she said through tears.

Our thoughts and prayers are with LeAnn and her family during this very difficult time.
