Lindsie Chrisley Speaks Out After Arrest For DUI Suspicion & Eluding Police

Lindsie Chrisley is facing legal troubles after being arrested over the weekend.

The former Chrisley Knows Best star was arrested and booked in Cherokee County, Georgia, on Saturday night, May 23, for DUI less safe. This means she was said to have been driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level below 0.08%.

Other charges that she is facing include attempting to elude police, reckless driving, speeding, and improper passing, according to records obtained by PEOPLE.

She was released the next morning after posting bond. The outlet reports that Lindsie’s total bail came to almost $6,000 across all charges.

Lindsie Chrisley Breaks Silence On Her Arrest

Later, Lindsie spoke out about her arrest, telling TMZ that she plans to “fight the charges.”

“I got pulled over speeding past a car on a two-lane road because they almost hit an animal, and I was trying to miss hitting them, and whatever the animal was,” she says of the incident.

This isn’t the first time a member of the Chrisley family has found themselves behind bars.

Lindsie’s estranged father, Todd Chrisley, and stepmother Julie Chrisley were serving a combined 19-year prison sentence after being found guilty of bank and tax fraud. They were sentenced in 2022 but were later pardoned in May 2025 by President Trump.

Her brother, Kyle (34), was also arrested back in December 2025 on multiple charges.

He was booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center in Tennessee for alleged domestic assault, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and three counts related to assaulting a first responder and resisting arrest.
