Rest In Peace Tim Cobb

Tim Cobb, who was Loretta Lynn‘s longtime friend and assistant, has died. His passing comes just five months after Loretta died on October 4, 2022.

Loretta’s family shared the news about Tim’s death on her official social media pages on Monday (March 13):

“The Lynn family is sad to announce that Loretta’s long-time assistant and dear friend, Tim Cobb, has passed away,” the family’s statement read. “Tim was Loretta’s assistant for thirty years, beginning in 1982. She loved him dearly, and so did we. Tim was a member of our family, and we are heartbroken. We will share more in honor of Tim in the days to come. You may honor Tim’s memory with a gift to the Loretta Lynn Foundation.”

Furthermore, Tim was known for designing all of Loretta’s clothes and dresses for her performances. In 2018, he donated some of those clothes to his hometown museum in Lake City, Arkansas.

“Memaw lived so long because he took such amazing care of her,” Tayla said. “He loved her so much. He did everything for everyone. He was selfless. He was moody. He was funny. He was authentic and loving. He was hurt. He was loved. He grieved his little broken heart to the core…I love Unc. I loved him so dearly.”
