on Jun 05, 2018
The beloved country legend and iconic performer has suffered an unimaginable amount of grief and loss with the unexpected passing of her mother – and because of this, she’s needed to cancel several of her upcoming shows.
Lorrie Morgan, the daughter of country great George Morgan and widow of Keith Whitley, has been one of the most beloved and everlasting parts of country music for decades – and she’s grown a huge base of fans during her lengthy career.
Morgan’s mother, Anna Trainor, was truly her biggest fan and loved her with all her heart.
In an announcement on Saturday, June 2nd, Morgan’s husband shared the news of Trainor’s passing with his wife’s friends and fans on social media. Along with the news, he expressed the deep love Trainor had for all of her family and mourned her passing in a beautiful way.

Now, just a few days after her mother’s devastating passing, Morgan has reached out to fans herself and expressed her immense gratitude for their love, prayers, and sympathy in her time of loss.
“To all of you who have sent kind wishes to me and my family we thank you.
My mother was our glue and our life she was everything we strive to be. She lost her fight to live on June 1, 11:03 PM. There will be a void like no other in all of our lives.”https://www.facebook.com/lorriemorganontheroad/posts/2028839184100378
In order to take time to grieve and connect with her family in their time of loss, she has decided to step back from her scheduled performance at the CMA Fest this week and thanked everyone for their understanding.
