Luke Bryan Shares Prayers For Missing Mizzou Student, Riley Strain

22-Year-Old Riley Strain Went Missing On Friday (March 8) After He Was Last Seen Leaving Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge Food + Drink In Downtown Nashville

The search is still underway for University of Missouri student Riley Strain, who was reported missing on Saturday (March 9). He was last seen leaving Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge Food + Drink in downtown Nashville on Friday evening (March 8).

The Metro Nashville Police Department said Riley and his fellow fraternity members traveled from Missouri to Nashville to celebrate their annual spring formal. His friends last saw him around 10 PM on March 8 when he left 32 Bridge.

The 22-year-old’s stepfather, Christopher Whiteid, told the St. Louis Post Dispatch that Riley got in touch with his friends to let them know he was going back to the hotel. However, he never made it there. Christopher also told the publication that surveillance footage shows Riley may have taken the wrong way back to the hotel.

WSMV-TV reports that Riley’s friends attempted to find his location, but could not. They also tried calling him, but all calls went to voicemail.

Social media posts made by members of Riley’s family state his phone last pinged near the Cumberland River. Additional attempts to ping his phone in recent days have failed.

Police have also checked local hospitals and jails for Riley, but have not located him.

Luke Bryan Breaks Silence On Riley Strain’s Disappearance

On Tuesday (March 12), Luke Bryan broke his silence on Riley Strain’s disappearance. He shared a statement from 32 Bridge on his Instagram Story. It read:

TC Restaurant Group, operator and owner of Luke’s 32 Bridge is continuing to work closely with the Metro Nashville Police Department to provide security camera footage and any other potentially helpful information to aid in the search for Riley Strain. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones for his safe return.”

Luke added a note of his own, writing, “Y’all this is scary. Praying for his safe return.”

The singer also shared an additional slide on his Instagram Story. He encouraged people to call the Metro Nashville Police Department at 615-862-8600 if they have any information that could help in the search for Riley.

What’s The Latest News On Missing Mizzou Student Riley Strain?

WSMV-TV shared a new report on Wednesday morning (March 13) with the latest news concerning the search for Riley. The outlet shared surveillance footage that shows Riley walking alone through downtown Nashville. WSMV-TV reported he could be seen stumbling at times, and appeared to be disoriented.

The last-known footage of Riley shows him near the Cumberland River before he stepped out of frame. Multiple searches have been conducted in the river, but Riley has not been found.

The outlet also released a portion of the 911 call placed by one of Riley’s friends who reported him missing.

Those in Nashville should remain on the lookout for Riley Strain. He has blue eyes, brown hair, a thin build, and is 6’6″ tall. He was wearing a black and white button-up shirt (as seen in the poster above), blue jeans, brown boots, and a black Apple watch when he disappeared.

As Luke Bryan mentioned in his Instagram Story, anyone with any information concerning the search for Riley should call police at 615-862-8600.
