In The Middle Of His Set, Luke Bryan Stopped, Admitting He “Forgot All The Words”
At his Orlando show on June 13, Bryan had powered through several of his hits including “I Don’t Want This Night To End,” “Kick The Dust Up,” “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day,” “Love You, Miss You, Mean It,” and “Crash My Party.”
He got to the portion of his of concert where he lets his band take a break and he performs four songs on the piano. He performed a cover of Journey’s “Faithfully,” followed by “Strip It Down,” “Buy Dirt,” and “Do I,” just him and the piano.
Things went awry while he was singing his 2015 song “Strip It Down.”
He sang the first verse and chorus without a hitch, but when it was time for the second verse, he froze. Bryan continued to play piano without singing for a couple seconds before he stopped and told the crowd, “I totally forgot all the words.”
The audience tried to cheer in solidarity, but right as they did it, a lightbulb went off. He said, “I got it!” and began singing the second verse.
Nice save!
Fans online praised his honesty, saying, “He gets hate but I love how realistic he is and not fake…it’s more relatable.”
Another said, “Luke Bryan will always be the funniest man on the planet, unintentionally too,” while an additional fan commented, “When he said ‘I got it’ he had to go fast before he forgot again!”
