Fans have known that Luke Combs would be releasing new music for almost an entire year now, the only question has been when it will be! The country singer has been singing unreleased songs on the road for quite some time. Videos of these songs have been circulating, which means his fans from all over are getting to know these songs quite well without recorded versions of them.

For example, his latest single “Beer Never Broke My Heart” was released on May 8, and most of his fanbase already knew the lyrics since he’s been playing it on the road since January 2018.

Combs tried to trick his fans by saying he wasn’t going to release music at all this year, but then said, “Just kidding!”

Combs had his fans freaking out once again when he posted this update on Monday (May 21):

They were speculating more meet a greet opportunities and more tour dates, but mostly, people thought the announcement would be a new album.

Well now, we finally know what his announcement is – that a number of his unreleased songs have been recorded and are ready to be released on an EP titled The Prequel.
