“Princess Bride” Director Rob Reiner & His Wife Michele Found Deceased In Their Home
Former first lady Michelle Obama revealed she and her husband, Barack Obama, were supposed to see longtime friends Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, on the night the couple was found dead in their Los Angeles home.
Local news outlets reported Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of South Chadbourne Avenue around 3:38 p.m. following a call for medical assistance on Sunday (December 14).
Responders then located the bodies of a man believed to be about 78 years old and a woman believed to be about 68 years old inside the home.
Those bodies were later identified as Rob and Michele.

Michelle Obama Discusses The Tragic Death Of Her Friends
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday (December 15), Michelle Obama discussed the tragedy.
“We’ve known them for many, many years, and we were supposed to be seeing them that night. Last night. And we got the news,” Michelle recalled.
Without naming President Trump directly, Obama challenged what she called a fabricated portrayal, defending the couple as caring, courageous people and “not deranged.”
“And let me just say this. Unlike some people, Rob and Michelle Reiner are some of the most decent, courageous people you ever want to know,” she said during the late-night interview, drawing loud applause from the audience.
Michelle shared that the two were “passionate” individuals who cared deeply about the things they loved.
“They’re not deranged or crazed. What they have always been are passionate people, in a time when there’s not a lot of courage going on,” she continued. “They were the kind of people who were ready to put their actions behind what they cared about. And they cared about their family. And they cared about this country.”
