Everyone handles heartbreak differently. Some people try out a bold new hairstyle, some people choose to hold their heads high, and some choose deep-seated revenge…
Notorious for her fiery revenge-laden country hits, Miranda Lambert cashes in her “spotless reputation” to get even in the video for “Mama’s Broken Heart.”
For a song as mischievous as Lambert’s 2013 hit, the video required the singer to tap into the crazy girl that lives deep down in all of us.
Beginning with a prim and proper Lambert entering her lavish estate and smiling ear-to-ear – the country songstress quickly loses control the moment she crosses the threshold of her home and closes the door.

This video features Lambert going full-on crazy girl, numbing her pain “at the expense of [her] liver” and doing the ever-relatable act of cutting your bangs with some “rusty kitchen scissors.”
“Mama’s Broken Heart” was released as the fourth single off her 2011 album, Four the Record. The song was met with rave reviews from critics, selling over 1.9 million copies since its release.
