In an interview with Country Now, Lambert gave a tease at her CMA performance.

“I am opening the show this year, so, I can’t tell you much, other than that, some surprises,” Lambert teased. “But, I’m also done at 7:05, so I get to sit and enjoy my night, which is amazing.”

She was introduced by Carly Pearce, Mickey Guyton, and Gabby Barrett.

She kicked it off with her hit song “Kerosene,” followed by “Mama’s Broken Heart.” She moved on to the title track of her 2019 album Wildcard and then her 2015 hit “Little Red Wagon.” She ended her epic performance with her 2008 hit song “Gunpowder and Lead.”

Throughout the performance, Maren Morris and other country stars could be seen singing along. Host Luke bryan came on stage and said that Lambert’s performance is a reminder why “this is country music’s biggest night.”
