Miranda Lambert Not Only Revealed The Craziest Thing She’s Done To An Ex But Also Shared The Advice She Would Give Her Younger Self

Miranda Lambert won this year’s Country Icon Award At the People’s Choice Country Awards and performed an exciting medley during the show! Watch Below:

She was interviewed on the red carpet before winning the award and performing. The reporter asked what advice she would give to her younger self, considering her success. The Country Icon winner was taken aback by the question. She paused and responded thoughtfully:

“Um, gosh, a lot,  but I would also say, like, enjoy the ride, like slow down a little bit. I’ve been a horse with blinders for so long, just like working toward a goal, and I think I did miss a few things.  I think I’d just tell her to like take a chill pill.”

The singer shared what most successful people do when they achieve their goals and advised her younger self to enjoy the ride.

What Did She Do?

Lambert was asked during her red carpet interview about the craziest thing she had done to an ex. The singer said:

“Well, I’ve mostly written about everything I’ve done, so just go back through the catalog, and I’ll say there’s only one way to know how long Wrangler take to burn so oh there you go”

Lambert is referencing her song “Wranglers,” released on May 3rd, 2024. The song depicts a scorned woman who burns her ex’s jeans. It is a classic breakup song.

In the song, she sings:

“If he ever loved her, he never let it show
If she didn’t need him, she’d left him long ago
She set it all on fire, and if there’s one thing that she learned
Wranglers take forever to burn”

During her red carpet interview, Lambert mentioned that she had “written about everything [she had] done” and to “just go back through the catalog” to find out all the crazy things she had done to her exes. So we did.

For example, in her song “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” Miranda wrote:

“I started throwing things and I scared folks half to death
I got up in his face and smelled whiskey on his breath
Didn’t give a second thought to being thrown in jail
‘Cause, baby, to a hammer, everything looks like a nail
I’m mad as hell

Those pretty girls, they’re all the same
But they’re damn well gonna know my name
I’m a crazy ex-girlfriend”

Or her song, “White Liar,” where she wrote:

“Hey, white liar
Truth comes out a little at a time
And it spreads just like a fire
Slips off of your tongue like turpentine
And I don’t know why, white liar

Here’s a bombshell just for you
Turns out I’ve been lying too

Now I’m the white liar
Truth comes out a little at a time”

Did Miranda really do the things she sings about in her songs? Who knows? But one thing is certain: she can write an epic breakup ballad!
