Miranda Lambert’s “Bluebird” Is Her 1st Top 5 Country Airplay Solo Single Since 2014
on Jul 01, 2020
Miranda Lambert‘s “Bluebird” is continuing to fly up the Country Airplay chart.
“Bluebird” was released in December 2019 as the second single off of Lambert’s album Wildcard. The song’s climb up the Country Airplay chart has been slow, but picked up steam within recent months as Lambert has performed it for a number of programs.
One of her best performances of “Bluebird” came during the ACM Presents: Our Country special that aired in April.
Thanks to Lambert’s recent televised performances, “Bluebird” finally landed in the Country Airplay chart’s Top 10 in early June. It marked the first time Lambert had earned a solo Top 10 Country Airplay song since 2014.
“Automatic” was Lambert’s last solo Country Airplay Top 10. She has earned two additional Country Airplay Top 10 songs since then, but they were both collaborations (2014’s “Somethin’ Bad” with Carrie Underwood and 2018’s “Drowns the Whiskey” with Jason Aldean).
It took six years, but @mirandalambert is back in the Top 10 this week with a solo hit! https://t.co/qym5sKB0Qv

“Bluebird” rose even further up the charts after that, and is now a Top 5 Country Airplay hit!
This is another accomplishment worth celebrating. The last time Lambert had a solo single in the Country Airplay‘s Top 5 was when “Automatic” claimed the chart’s #3 position in 2014.
In other words, “Bluebird” is becoming one of Lambert’s biggest songs ever!
In the event that”Bluebird” continues its trek up the chart, it could become a #1 song. If it accomplishes this feat, it will be Lambert’s first #1 Country Airplay solo song since 2012’s “Over You.” It’s hard to believe eight years have passed since she had a #1 solo song!

Congratulations to Lambert!
