Morgan Wallen Shares The Funny “Ryl Story” Behind His Infamous Haircut

In August, Morgan Wallen shocked fans when he took the stage at a Columbus, Ohio concert sporting a new look. His famed mullet was gone and he revealed a fully shaved head underneath his ball cap. He told the sold-out crowd:

“I didn’t like my hair anymore so I shaved it off.”

News spread like wildfire online, with many fans questioning the singer’s choice and expressing that they were “shocked and devastated.”

Morgan Wallen tells the “Ryl story” of his haircut in new video

Morgan Wallen joined forces with Barstool Sports blogger and podcaster, Caleb Pressley, to tell the tale of how he ended up rocking a bald head. The pair shared a hilarious video on social media in partnership with Wallen’s sweet tea brand, Ryl Tea.

In the video, Wallen returns to the barber shop where he seemingly had his head shaved last year. Now that months have passed, his hair has grown out a few inches and he is in need of a trim. The “Last Night” singer is visibly apprehensive as the barber (played by Pressley) tells him:

“Trust me, I’ve gotten better. I just did Kenny Chesney’s.”

Pressley gets to work, clipping and trimming the superstar’s hair, and in the end concludes:

“I didn’t do a good job…”
