Morgan Wallen’s young son is bouncing back from a recent dog bite incident. And his recovery progress is definitely something to celebrate!
Morgan’s son, Indigo Wilder, who is just shy of turning three years old, celebrated the 4th of July with his loved ones. Indie’s mom, KT Smith, took to Instagram to share a slideshow of photos documenting the gathering. The photos showed little Indie without the bandage that had been on his face since being bitten by a dog nearly three weeks ago.
It’s a relief to see that the injury hasn’t slowed him down. From splashing around in a kiddie pool to cuddling up in his mother’s lap, Indie’s resilience shines through. Smith captioned her post with a simple yet heartfelt message, “Happy fourth, everyone.”

When the news first broke about Indie’s encounter with the family’s Great Pyrenees, Legend, Smith assured concerned fans that the dog would find a new home before Indie returned from the hospital. And thanks to the power of social media, Legend has indeed found a loving farm family in East Tennessee where he can thrive without small children around.
Throughout Indie’s recovery, Smith has been updating fans about his progress, offering reassurance that he is expected to fully recover with minimal scarring. Smith’s devotion to making the healing process as enjoyable as possible is heartwarming. Recently, she treated Indie to an exciting toy shopping spree, a gesture to keep his spirits high.

Interestingly, despite his unfortunate experience with a canine companion, Indie has shown no signs of lingering trauma or fear toward animals. The family’s other dog, Tom Ford, also made an appearance at their 4th of July celebration and even stars in some of the photos, reminding us that love and resilience can prevail.
As we await Indie’s upcoming birthday on July 10, it’s clear that this little fighter is ready to embrace all the joys and adventures that lie ahead. Morgan Wallen fans can take comfort in knowing that their favorite artist’s son is on the road to a full recovery.
