Mountain Lion & Tree Trimmer Have Intense Stare Down

Instagram page, The Working Class Page, which shares videos of strong, hardworking men at their day jobs doing what they do best, shared a wild video alluding to an arborist, also known as a tree trimmer, encountering a wild cougar while he was climbing a tree.
“So you’re into cougars, cool. #arboristlife #cougarlife,” The Working Class Page shared in the caption of their Instagram video.
The video showed a man all harnessed up in his tree climbing gear about 30 or 40 feet high in the tree and looking directly into the eyes of an adult mountain lion also perched in a tree next to him.
The animal and human only appeared to be about 10 feet or so apart and the big cat was definitely not happy about the man being that close to him.
It was showing its teeth, repositioning itself on the branches, and repeatedly hissing at the man as he climbed higher in the tree. If the mountain lion wanted to, it could have easily jumped from where it was to the man and done some crazy damage to him.
In the video, you can hear dogs barking in the background which made some people in the comments believe the man was a hunter and his dogs treed the mountain lion. Therefore, this man could have been climbing the tree to get closer so that he could get a better kill shot, but that’s to be debated.
The video cuts off before we ever get to see what happens after the close encounter, so we can only imagine. However, we can absolutely show you the video.
