An asteroid named 2019 WR3 is expected to have what NASA calls a “close approach” to Earth on Friday, December 6.
Australia’s 7News reports that the asteroid is expected to be larger than the Egyptian pyramids!

It is actually estimated to have a diameter between 76 – 170 meters, which is 249- 557 feet, and The Statue Of Liberty is 305 feet tall.
For reference on how big the statue actually is, see a photo of her head being unpacked in 1885 below.

7News reports that the huge asteroid was first spotted by NASA last week, and will pass within 5.44 million km of Earth at speeds of 27,036 km/hr. That translates to around 335,000 miles from Earth and a speed of 16,800 miles per hour.
