Taylor Sheridan’s Latest Show, The Madison, Will Premiere On March 14
The Madison was first confirmed as Taylor Sheridan’s next venture in 2024. At the time, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell, and Patrick J. Adams were rumored to be attached. The show was also being marketed (falsely) as a Yellowstone spin-off. Now we know the two shows are not related.
Pretty early on, we knew The Madison was going to be about the Clyburn family, led by matriarch Stacy, played by Pfeiffer.
The network also revealed that the show “is a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.”
Details about the show were kept secret for a long time until the 2026 Golden Globes in January, when Paramount released a teaser for what is to come for their network and streaming app this year.
All the information that we found out from the clip was that The Madison was coming “soon.”
Shortly after, the network announced The Madison‘s premiere date of March 14 and premiered a 30-second teaser trailer.

How Will The Madison Episodes Drop?
In a new press release announcing the official trailer, Paramount revealed that the release of The Madison episodes will not be in a traditional way.
The first three episodes of the season will drop on March 14th, while Episodes 4-6 will premiere one week later, on March 21st.
The press release also stated that The Madison will return for Season 2, but did not release that date.
Paramount is calling The Madison, “[Taylor] Sheridan’s most intimate work to date, unfolding across two distinct worlds – the beautiful landscape of Montana and the vibrant energy of Manhattan – as it examines the ties that bind families together.”
The Madison Drops First Official Trailer
Although we might consider that 30-second clip a trailer, the show does not. On Tuesday (Feb. 24), the series debuted a first official trailer on YouTube and their social media channels.
The two-minute trailer reveals to us that Stacy, and her family, have experienced a great tragedy. We can only assume the tragedy is the sudden loss of her husband, Preston Clyburn, played by Kurt Russell, although he has confirmed he already filmed Season Two of the show.
The trailer begins with Russell in a mountain cabin talking to Pfeiffer, who is in a bathtub in New York, on the phone.
“Memories. It’s like a movie we can play it over and over, to revisit all those times we did have together. All the talks, all the laughs, all the hugs,” Pfeiffer says in a voice over.
The trailer shows her, her daughters, and granddaughters in Montana dealing with their family tragedy, but also trying to feed their hearts with memories, as her therapist, played by Will Arnett, tells Stacy.
Russell also shares his scenes in the trailer with Matthew Fox, who plays a character named Paul Clyburn, who could be his brother The family tragedy could possibly be that the brother duo both tragically died, making their family’s grief even greater.
Fans are already excited to watch the show, even though they know it will be quite an emotional ride.
“This is going to wreck me,” one fan wrote about the trailer, while another commented, “I’m gonna cry.”
