Photos: Natalie Maines Slices Pinky, Gets Stitches
on May 05, 2020
A medical professional made a house call for Natalie Maines on Monday (May 4).
The Dixie Chicks singer was preparing a meal for her family when things took a turn. She was using a mandoline slicer, and her right pinky finger accidentally got in the way. It seemed bad enough for Maines to call for help. Because of COVID-19, we imagine she didn’t want to make the trip to the ER, so a medical professional came to her to tend to her wound.
From the photos she shared on her Instagram story, it looked as though the mandoline caught the tip of her finger, slicing it from left to right.
The medical professional who made the house call was a woman named Spencer, who Maines called an “angel.”
Good thing the “Gaslighter” singer made the call because it turns out she did actually need a few stitches, though she didn’t mention how many.
In no time, Spencer had Maines stitched up and “good to go.” The singer showed off her newly-wrapped pinky finger. Stitches normally need to be removed after a couple weeks, so Spencer might be making another house call soon.
We wish Natalie a speedy recovery.
