It has been five years since this popular country group has made an album and for the last few months, they’ve been dropping hints about a possible collaboration together. Well, the wait is finally over!

The Pistol Annies is made up of three very stong female singers. Miranda Lambert brings the Nashville sound to the group, while Ashley Monroe brings a timeless twang and Angaleena Presley’s powerful voice rounds the group off. The ladies broke the charts with their first album Hell on Heels back in 2011.

After a few years of working together, the ladies went their separate ways and ventured off on their own solo musical paths. Fast forward to 2018, and the girls have faced ups and downs in their careers and personal lives – and aren’t afraid to bare it all on this new album.

From marriage to motherhood to divorce and being saved – these ladies have been through it all, which is why they are so relatable. They’ve been teasing fans with a cryptic message of a much-desired reunion for a while now. Everyone was getting amped up with excitement in hopes of another raw, real musical experience – and boy, did they deliver.

The Pistol Annies promoted their new album with old-school postcards that hinted at what sort of music to expect on the album. The ladies brought people together by asking them to create a roadmap using just the postcards. The result? Fans figured out the album song list.

Pistol Annies are expected to drop the full album on November 2nd – and the tracklist looks incredible. We can’t wait to hear all of the songs these lyrically talented ladies wrote and recorded!

  2. Stop Drop and Roll One
  3. Best Years of My Life
  4. 5 Acres of Turnips
  5. When I Was His Wife

  8. Sugar Daddy
  9. Leavers Lullaby
  10. Milkman
  11. Commissary
  12. Masterpiece
  13. Interstate Gospel
  14. This Too Shall Pass

Now, the girls continue to tease us with three new songs released onto the internet for us to enjoy.

“Best Years of My Life” is a slow-burning ballad that serves as a haunting memory of our past choices and what it is like to be stuck in a loveless relationship. The ladies sure know how to tug at your heartstrings with lines like, “I’m gonna mix a drink and try to drown this worthlessness/ Call Mom and tell her I’m alright/ Well he don’t love me but he ain’t gone yet/ These are the best years of my life.”

While there is no official video for the song, Pistol Annies have started performing it live at their shows – and one lucky fan caught it all on tape!

A little more upbeat is their “Interstate Gospel.” As the song the album is named after, the twangy tune seems to be about getting saved no matter how crazy you are. With lines like, “These church signs, they light up these roads that I roam/ They’re leading me closer, they’re calling me home/ The further I get, the further I go…” you can’t help but tap your foot along.

True to Pistol Annies-style, the ladies added a very special “angry-ex” song to the album and it is sure to be the new divorce anthem of 2018.

The ladies take on a humorous approach to the frustrations of ending a relationship with feisty lines like “It takes a judge to get married, takes a judge to get divorced/ Well the last couple years, spent a lotta time in court/ Got my name changed back.”

And while Angaleena Presley denies the song is about any of them, saying it “has nothing to do with us and is about no one in this group,” the media is having a hard time not speculating.
