Post Malone brought some Christmas cheer to a single mom working as a bartender on Christmas Eve.

Austin Post, known professionally as Post Malone, was visiting The Railroad in Houston, Texas, when he met bartender Renee Brown. Brown, 36, shared on Instagram that Post had changed her life.

“This is hands down the most humble, personable celebrity I’ve had the pleasure of meeting,” Renee Brown, wrote on Instagram. “He changed my life … and will forever be grateful. Thank you so much, Austin.”

In an interview with Music Mayhem, Brown explained that she is the mother of a 9-year-old daughter and was sad to be working instead of spending the holiday with her daughter. For the first time, Renee wasn’t home to bake cookies and watch Christmas movies with her daughter.

Renee Brown’s Life-Changing Shift

Little did Renee Brown know that her life was about to change. It was during her late-night shift that Post Malone stopped by with some of his friends. Brown didn’t realize it was him and didn’t believe her co-workers who said Post was on the patio.

Eventually, she went to see for herself, and after confirming he was, in fact, there, she made sure he was able to enjoy his visit without being bothered by fans.

“I told all my regulars not to be weird and bug him as it’s a neighborhood dive bar, and I’m sure he picked a place like that to feel a sense of normalcy,” she added, saying that the mood of the bar changed after his arrival. “It lifted the spirits of the entire bar. It was amazing to see everyone so happy and seeing how kind he was to all the people that spend their days with me on the regular.”

Brown shared that Post and his friends stayed from 12:30 a.m. until closing time. But when it came time for checks to be paid, Post didn’t have one as someone else had taken care of it. The singer insisted that Renee charge him for something so that he could leave her a tip.

“So he asked me to ring him up for a penny or anything, so I did. I continued my close and collected all my checks, and started to enter my tips. Then I got to his. It was a tip for 20,000 dollars,” she recalled.

How Renee Brown Plans To Use The Generous Tip

Upon seeing the tip written on the receipt, Brown burst into tears. She told Music Mayhem that Post Malone‘s generosity will change her and her daughter’s lives. Renee plans to save some of the money, use some for a vehicle, and get caught up on her rent.

“If this message reaches him, I know I told him that night how grateful I am, but I’d like to reiterate that he helped me in ways I can’t even begin to explain.”
